2. General information

The protection of your personal data is important to me. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains what data I collect, what I use it for, and what rights you have.

I only process personal data when permitted, for example to respond to inquiries, to initiate and execute contracts, or to provide technical support for the website.

3. Hosting and Server-Logfiles

This website is hosted by the following provider:

IONOS SE
Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Deutschland

When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files. This data may include, in particular:

  • IP address (usually in abbreviated or full form)
  • Date and time of the request
  • page/file accessed
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • Browser type and browser version
  • operating system used

The purpose of processing is the technical provision, security, and stability of the website (e.g., defense against attacks and error analysis).

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).

A contract for order processing in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO is usually in place with the hosting provider.

4. Cookies and local storage

This website may use cookies and similar technologies that are technically necessary for functions to work correctly.

I do not use tracking or marketing cookies or website analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel).

Technically/functionally necessary cookies may arise in particular through the following functions/plugins:

  • TranslatePress (Saving the selected language)
  • Popup Maker (e.g., so that a pop-up does not reappear every time the page is loaded)

The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in a functional website) and, where absolutely necessary, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (pre-contractual measures) if you use functions to contact us.

5. Kontaktaufnahme per E-Mail

If you contact me by email, the data you provide (e.g., name, email address, message content) will be processed in order to respond to your inquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (initiation/performance of a contract) or Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in processing inquiries).

6. Contact form (WPForms)

On this website, I use a contact form provided by WPForms Lite.

When you submit the form, the data you enter will be processed, typically:

  • Name
  • E-Mail Address
  • Message
  • Time of transmission

Depending on the settings, technical metadata may also be processed (e.g., IP address for security and abuse prevention).

Storage: Depending on the configuration, WPForms can also save form submissions in the WordPress database. If you don't want this, you can disable the relevant functions.

7. Popups (Popup Maker)

I use Popup Makerto display pop-ups on the website, e.g. for the “Request project” button.

Popup Maker may set functional cookies to remember whether a popup has already been displayed or closed. This improves user-friendliness and prevents repeated popups.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in a user-friendly presentation).

8. Language switching (TranslatePress)

I use TranslatePressto provide content in multiple languages. A cookie may be set so that the language you have selected is saved for future page views.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in a functional, user-friendly website).

9. Sending emails via SMTP (WP Mail SMTP)

For sending emails from WordPress (e.g., confirmations or form notifications), I use WP Mail SMTP. Emails are sent via an SMTP server.

The necessary communication data (e.g., sender, recipient, subject, content) is processed in order to deliver your request.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (communication for the initiation/fulfillment of a contract) or Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in reliable delivery).

10. Recipients and disclosure of data

I do not disclose personal data to third parties, except:

  • if this is necessary to fulfill your request,
  • if I am legally obliged to do so,
  • or if service providers are involved as processors (e.g., hosting providers, email providers).

11. Storage period

I only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose:

  • Requests are usually deleted once they have been processed and no further queries are expected.
